V0.1 experimental
Terms of use
1. Agreement and preview scope
These terms cover the VaseDesk V0.1 HarmonyOS client and companion Windows x64 helper. This early technical preview provides the privacy gate, ArkWeb workbench, drag tabs into a separate window, same-LAN pairing/control-channel status, and experimental direct RDP through FreeRDP 3.30.0 as enabled by the frozen release definition. Web browsing is not complete and is not currently offered publicly.
2. Conditions of use
- Connect only to devices, accounts, and networks you own, manage, or are expressly authorized to use.
- Keep both endpoints on a same LAN you are permitted to use and manually enter the host and TCP 8765.
- Verify pairing prompts and security identity. Stop on any mismatch.
- V0.1 requires no account and does not change USB sharing, firewall, or system network settings for you.
3. Prohibited conduct
Do not use the software to access, scan, control, or disrupt another system without authorization; obtain, delete, alter, or disclose another party's data; bypass security controls; distribute malicious code; or commit fraud, extortion, or another unlawful act.
4. Credentials and remote operations
You are responsible for passwords, pairing codes, tokens, and certificate information. Do not place them in feedback, screenshots, or diagnostics. HUKS and AES-GCM protection of local ciphertext cannot provide an absolute security guarantee.
Direct-RDP input changes the selected remote device. Before connecting, verify the host, port, account, certificate fingerprint, and authorization; before high-risk actions, confirm the active window and keep backups. Drag tabs into a separate window does not create a new authorization boundary: the detached window remains governed by the main window's privacy and session state.
5. Platform and open-source components
The software uses HarmonyOS ArkWeb, ArkUI, NAPI, HUKS, Windows SDK, and related platform capabilities, plus third-party FreeRDP 3.30.0, libwebrtc, and an optional user-installed Parsec VDD. Their licenses and platform terms continue to apply; those components and the VDD driver are not represented as project inventions.
6. Availability and changes
The preview is provided as available and may be interrupted, contain errors, or be incompatible with a device or network. You may stop and clear local data if the product, policy, or test changes. This version does not use AppGallery Connect invite testing; the HAP and Windows Agent are distributed through the public external links listed on the support page, and the Windows Agent access code is j444.
